Sprinkle some Italian zest into your weekend at our buffet brunch\, festive fundraiser\, and LOCA Art Talk that’s as colorful as a Sorrento sunset. \nPresenters are Dawn Buckingham and Mike Tauber\, two global artists who have just returned from their escapade in the enchanting streets of Sorrento\, Italy. No ordinary tourists – they represented the Dana Point Sister Cities International Association in a group exhibit at the historic Sorrento Foundation Center. This 17th-century cloister\, nestled in the heart of Sorrento\, provided the perfect backdrop for their artistic adventure. They will share photos and stories of the exhibition and receptions\, of mixers with Italian artists\, and of cultural discoveries. \nBut that’s not all! Party-goers will enjoy bottomless champagne and mimosas\, and a buffet of homemade gourmet foods influenced by Sorrento\, the Amalfi Coast\, and its aromatic lemon orchards. It will be a culinary journey where every bite is a burst of Mediterranean flavors. \nAdding to the fun is a live auction of a special LOCA art experience\, and a silent auction of unique gift and dining experiences everyone will want. Fans of LOCA may help grow our “wishing tree”\, by donating funds and hanging a tag on our tree to celebrate the support. \n“We are grateful to all our members\, newcomers\, and everyone who supports LOCA!” said Carla Meberg\, LOCA President. “We can’t wait to toast each other in Laguna\, and share the charm of Italy!” \nInvite friends\, register now and look forward to a dazzling day of art\, food\, and fun! \nAdmission is free to new and renewing members.
