Students will make sheets of bark paper\, known as washi or rice papers. They will also learn to make sheets of another fiber paper\, abaca or banana leaf paper. During the second class students will make hand pulled papers\, made from cotton lintels and learn how to do press molds using molds furnished by LOCA\, as well as cards furnished by LOCA. Mada will offer suggestions on how to use these paper molds with the blank cards provided. \nExtra hair dryers would be great to have if students could bring them to class. \nThis class series is held on two consecutive Wednesdays May 6 & 13 in the Art Room of the Susi Q. This class is close to capacity.
