DESCRIPTION:Join us for our LOCA Fall Annual Membership Meeting Sunday September 25\, 11:00am – 1:00pm at the Healy House on the Sawdust Festival grounds. The featured presenter is Pageant of the Masters Make-up Director\, Allyson Doherty. Doherty will show how costumes are specially constructed and painted for stage effect. Pageant veteran\, Paul Goldie will serve as her live model. \nLOCA will also introduce its fall schedule of art classes\, lectures and workshops. A buffet brunch\, free door prizes and a sale of hand-painted art and shirts will round out the event. \nAdmission is free to members. DESCRIPTION:Seven Degrees Media Lounge \n29 beautiful and colorful banners painted by Laguna Beach High School students are on view at Seven Degrees for June’s First Thursday Art Walk.  Under the guidance of LOCA teacher\, Olivia Batchelder\, students painted images of sea life on silk with vibrant silk dye. The project was part of LOCA’s Arts in School program\, with the support of LBHS Art teacher\, Bridget Porter and support from Seven Degrees and the Festival of Arts Foundation.

SUMMARY:Watercolors by the Beach
DESCRIPTION:Sunday May 7\, 2017 from 10:00am – 11:30am \nAs participants gather they will have a chance to watch artists painting atop the cliffs overlooking Treasure Island Beach. The activity moves down to the beach with an introduction about local tide pool life. Students then will learn how to create their own color renderings of sea life with step by step instruction.  \nThis is a grant funded program and is part of a new collaboration between LOCA Arts Education and Laguna Plein Air Painters Association. \nTeachers: September McGee and LOCA Arts Education instructors \nChildren aged 5 and up and Adults welcome \nFee: $35 each \nAdvance registration required for all students.   \n
