Maximum size is 48″ x 48″ framing included. Framing should be simple\, clean and professional with secure wires on the frame(no sawtooth hangers) to accommodate the GalleryQ hanging system. Applications available at the SuzieQ. \nDrop off Entries July 13 from 5:00pm-7pmand July 14 1:00pm-3:00pmat the SusieQ. DESCRIPTION:The banners are big\, bold and botanical! \nAn exhibit of banners by Laguna Beach High School students will be on exhibit at Forest and Ocean Gallery downtown May 18 through 21. A free public reception is May 18\, 5p.m.-8p.m. \nThe banners are a project of the Arts in Schools program\, presented by LOCA Arts Education. LOCA coordinator Sherry Bullard organized the workshop with LBHS Art Teacher Bridget Porter. Students learned to use dyes to paint on silk as led by clothing expert Olivia Batchelder. More than 20 students created banners\, each measuring an impressive 60 inches in length\, under a botanical theme. \nAttendees at the reception will include Ms. Batchelder\, the student artists\, and representatives of the Festival of Arts Foundation\, which funded the program to LOCA. The activity moves down to the beach with an introduction about local tide pool life. Students then will learn how to create their own color renderings of sea life with step by step instruction.
