Pathways to Abstraction with Hedy Buzan

Hedy Buzan has designed an innovative and formalist approach to Abstraction which she introduces in her new booklet Pathways to Abstraction. The booklet outlines five topics: Discovering Your Voice, Line, Shape, Value, & Color.
These are organized into simple activities which she outlines as Play Dates, Image Collection Exercises, Journal Prompts and suggested Art Projects. She will introduce some of these exercises in a group setting. Participants will receive a copy of the booklet to continue explorations at home.
Bring an open mind and a willingness to explore.
Fee: $25 for LOCA members / $50 for non-member
This class is held in the Art room of the Laguna Beach Community and Susi Q senior center and is sponsored by a grant from the Festival of Arts Foundation.
