LOCA Arts Education was recognized for the work done to bring the arts out to the community during Covid, by the California State Assembly as a Nonprofit of the Year 2021. To address the various needs of our community, LOCA created virtual lessons and made them available to developmentally challenged adult residents at Glennwood House. Lessons for the Kids’ Art & Book Club at Library and Laguna Beach Art in Schools were videotaped and made available to children. LOCA collaborated with Laguna Plein Air Painters Association to offer a series of virtual Zoom painting workshops available to everyone, and outdoor, covid-compliant art workshops for seniors were held in local gardens.
